Shoreline Caravan Park offers absolute beachfront accommodation at Pt Augusta, South Australia with swimming, fishing, and beautiful beach views at your doorstep. It’s the type of place where all you need is your bathers, a towel and your fishing rod. Swimming, fishing, and many other water activities are all waiting for you at the top of the Spencer Gulf.
Located three hours north of Adelaide, Port Augusta is a coastal playground but also the gateway to the Flinders Ranges and the SA Outback. Shoreline Caravan Park is the perfect place to stop and enjoy stunning views and excellent fishing. Set right on the waterfront, you can swim or stroll along the beach to the stunning Red Bank Cliffs. Try the wharf or beach fishing at Redbanks and the Back Beach. The tidal flats in summer also yield good catches. There’s also a boat ramp for launching your tinny and spending a day on the briny.
The park has a range of cabins that range from stylish stays to basic budget offerings. The Waterfront Cabins, Flinders Units, and 1 and 2-bedroom Standard Cabins are self-contained with kitchen, bathroom, air-conditioning, and TV. Budget Cabins offer basic cooking facilities, air-conditioning, and TV.
The park has plenty of bare earth caravan sites that include powered ensuite, powered, and drive through sites. Dogs are welcome, but conditions apply. There are also grassed sites within the park for campers.
Cook up a storm in the large camp kitchen with plenty of seating or on coin-operated BBQs. The park offers spotless amenities, guest laundry, dump point, and kiosk/ store, as well as a swimming pool, playground, and games room.
Being right in the heart of Port Augusta, Shoreline Caravan Park is also close eateries, shopping, art galleries, street art and murals, botanic parks and gardens and many of the Spencer Gulf and Flinders Ranges’ tourist attractions. A ‘must-see/do’ is the award-winning Wadlata Outback Centre and the ‘Tunnel of Time’. Climb through the jaws of Max, the giant Ripper Lizard to be transported back to the creation of the Flinders Ranges and Outback. Further afield, there’s the Pichie Richie Railway in Quorn, and the majestic Flinders Ranges are a little under 2 hours away.
